Just like fashion, interior design is also a trend that changes with the seasons. With the weather heating up, I asked my stager, Tiffany Carter, what the hottest choices were for 2023.

Paint Color
Nothing can freshen up a space quite like a new coat of paint. Get “down to Earth” with these easy, earth-toned color combinations (please note that these particular swatches are from Sherwin Williams):
Jogging Path and Basil
SW 7638 & SW 6194

Natural Choice and Prairie Grass
SW 7011 & SW 7546

Breathless and Mink
SW 6022 & SW 6004

Site White and Smoky Blue
SW 7070 & SW 7604

Polished Concrete and Homburg Gray
SW 9167 & SW 7622

Wood Finishes
Lighten up your space with whitewashed wood for your flooring, cabinets, and railings. Against the darker earth tones above, lighter finishes will stand out with a pop. Not sold on white? Grey wood flooring continues to be a popular option this year.

Metals
Get a head start on 2024 with silver and irons. If you are looking into replacing only a few fixtures or would like to mix-&-match, try to keep the types of metals in your space to a maximum of 3.

Kitchen
A different color center island is an amazing update to make the kitchen look recently refreshed and to create a focal point in the room. For example, paint the island navy blue and the cabinets around the room white. You could also utilize a different countertop.
Switching out hardware and faucets makes a huge impact on the overall feel of a space. Refresh your hardware with the metals listed above.

Easy Updates
Greenery and dried flowers are outdated and collect dust. While the main reason for removing these items is to declutter a space, a nice replacement would be succulents if you still wish to add some decoration. Signs with quotes or sayings are also losing popularity. Limit signage in your home to pieces that are sentimental to you and your family.

Everyone deserves to love their space! Hiring a stager to come in for a consultation is an easy way to help you declutter and update, whether you plan on listing your home, or just want a refresh. Give Tiffany at Yellow Bridge Designs a call at 720-550-0288 to get started.
